Clinical and histologic effects of an Aramis erbium glass laser on facial rhytides

Physicians conducted a study to determine the clinical and histologic effects of an Aramis erbium glass laser on facial rhytides. Patients with mild to moderate periorbital and perioral rhytides received a series of three monthly treatments with an erbium-doped phosphate glass laser. The patient and a masked medical observer conducted photographic and clinical evaluations at each treatment visit and at one, three, and six months following the final treatment session. Physicians noted no serious adverse effects. All patients had slow, progressive clinical improvement of rhytides after each treatment and throughout the extended follow-up period.
