Effectiveness of nonablative skin remodeling using an Erbium Glass laser

Physicians studied the effectiveness of nonablative skin remodeling using an Erbium Glass laser as a new laser antiaging treatment on prioral and periorbital rhytides. The study included forty-two female patients who were treated five times at six-week intervals and checked six months after the last laser antiaging treatment. All subjects reported favorable results at six months. Irradiation with an Erbium Glass laser emitting in a pulsed mode and coupled with an efficient cooling system increased dermal thickness, reduced the anisotropy of the skin, and improved clinical aspects without adverse effects within the 14 months.
