Hair removal efficacy and possible side effects of two commercially available long pulsed diode lasers

Physicians studied hair removal efficacy and possible side effects of two commercially available long pulsed diode lasers. Physicians performed this clinical study on twenty-nine patients with light brown to black hair on the upper lip, using the MedioStar laser on one half of the lip and the LightSheer laser on the other half. After performing three treatments at 6-8 week intervals, physicians concluded that neither of the treatments caused apparent scarring or pigmentary change of the skin. However, physicians did note differences in acute side effects.
