Physicians studied the effectiveness of acoustic wave therapy for cellulite treatment. Historically, few treatments have been effective, but several studies have shown that similar waves have been effective. Physicians gathered data on 102 patients. Weight and electrical impedance measurements were taken before and after each treatment. Physicians also collected data on thigh circumference of 72 patients. At the end of the study, physicians concluded that the use of acoustic wave therapy for cellulite improved the appearance without significant side effects.
